Privacy Policy — Little Explorers
Last updated 6 October 2026
The short version. Little Explorers is a learning game for children under 13 (ages 2–12). We built it so that it does not collect personal information. There are no accounts, no chat and no analytics. The child’s first name and age are optional and never leave the device. On Android, Google AdMob may show an occasional child-directed, non-personalised ad when a child leaves a game; the iOS version has no ads.
This policy explains how the Little Explorers: Kids Learning app (“the app”) for Android and iOS handles information. The app is published by HorizonGames (Horizon Games Co.), a trading name of Ankit Jain (sole proprietor), New Delhi, India (“we”, “us”). This policy covers Little Explorers only; our other games have their own privacy policy.
1. What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no chat, no camera or microphone access, no location access and no contacts access. We never ask for an email address or a photo, and the app sends no personal information to us.
2. What stays on the device
The following is stored only in the app’s private storage on the device. None of it ever leaves the device, and we cannot see it:
- the child’s first name and age, if entered — both optional. The name is used only so the narrator can say it (and for the name-tracing levels); the age only chooses which land the map opens on;
- the chosen explorer character;
- game progress: stars, stickers and levels;
- settings: sound, music, voice and the daily time limit;
- paintings saved in Paint Studio or Magic Colouring (kept in the app’s own gallery, not the device photo library).
Deleting it: uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Reset progress in the For Grown-ups area clears the name, age, explorer, stars, stickers, levels and time limit at any time; saved paintings stay in the app’s gallery until the app is uninstalled.
3. Speech
The talking narrator uses the device’s built-in text-to-speech engine, which runs on the device. No audio is ever recorded, and the app has no microphone access.
4. Analytics and tracking
The app contains no analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not track children across apps or websites. The only third-party SDK is Google Mobile Ads, in the Android version only (see below).
5. Advertising
Android
The free Android version may show an occasional full-screen ad when the child leaves a game — never during play, and at most once every four minutes. Ads are served by Google AdMob, a Google Play Families-certified ad network, configured as follows:
- every ad request is tagged as child-directed (COPPA) and under the age of consent (GDPR);
- ad content is limited to G-rated (general audience), with sensitive ad categories blocked;
- ads are non-personalised — no interest-based advertising or remarketing;
- the app does not use the device advertising ID (the advertising-ID permission is removed from the app).
To deliver an ad, Google necessarily receives technical information such as the device’s IP address, device type and operating system. Google’s handling of ad requests is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
A grown-up can switch ads off permanently with the one-time “Remove ads” purchase, behind the parental gate.
iPhone and iPad
The iOS version shows no ads and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
6. Purchases and links
Any purchase or external link is placed behind a parental gate that a young child cannot pass (three numbers written as words). Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never receive payment details. The app only learns from the store whether the one-time purchase is owned, so it can unlock the games or remove ads.
7. When the app uses the internet
All games work offline. The app connects only to the app store (to show the price, make or restore a purchase) and, on Android, to Google AdMob to load ads.
8. Children’s privacy (COPPA and GDPR-K)
Little Explorers is directed to children under 13. We designed it to comply with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the children’s provisions of the EU and UK GDPR (“GDPR-K”), and the Apple Kids Category and Google Play Families policies.
We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children. Because the app collects none, there is no personal information for us to review, share or sell, and no account to delete. If you believe a child has sent us personal information — for example in an email — contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its processing. Because we hold no personal data from the app, these requests usually have nothing to act on — but we will always answer them. Data on the device is in your hands: use Reset progress or uninstall the app. If you email us, we keep your message only as long as needed to help you, and delete it on request.
10. This website
The Little Explorers pages on horizongames.live use no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Our web host processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If a change ever affected how children’s information is handled, we would update the app and its store listings before it took effect.
12. Contact
Questions or requests about this policy are answered within 30 days.
