Number Land

“Welcome to Number Land! Let’s count together.”

About this land

Number Land builds early maths step by step: counting objects, matching amounts to numbers, more and fewer, patterns, number order, first sums, sharing and simple money.

Each of its games has ten levels, and each level adds one new idea rather than just bigger numbers. Stars reward care: no mistakes earns three, one or two earn two, more earn one — but every finished round earns a star.

On iPhone and iPad, Bug Garden and Hungry Monster are free; the other games in this land are part of the one-time “Unlock all games” purchase. On Android every game is open.

Bug Garden

“Count the garden bugs!”

10 levelsAges 3–7Free on iOS

How to play

Garden bugs wander over a flower bed. Your child taps each bug to count it, then taps the matching number. Other rounds ask for a set number of bugs in a jar or ten-cup planter, which group has more or fewer, one more or one less, bugs in order, or counting in twos.

What it teaches

Counting objects, matching amounts to numbers, more and fewer, one more and one less, counting in order, counting by twos and ten-frames.

Winning and stars

Two wins move up on levels 1–2, three wins from level 3 (one of each kind of round).

The 10 levels

  1. Spring, 1–3: ladybugs and bees
  2. Spring, 1–5, plus “which has more?”
  3. Spring, 2–7: count only the right bug

Hungry Monster

“Feed the monster the right number of treats!”

10 levelsAges 3–7Free on iOS

How to play

A monster at a picnic asks for treats on a speech-bubble card showing a number, the treat and one empty slot per treat. Your child drags or taps treats into its mouth and the slots fill as it eats.

What it teaches

Counting, picking the right item, early addition, doubles, take-away, making ten and fair sharing.

Winning and stars

Two wins per level. The narrator explains the maths: “5 take away 2 is 3!”, “shared fairly is 4 each!”. The picnic moves through the seasons, from spring to snow to night.

The 10 levels

  1. Count 1–3
  2. Count 2–5
  3. Count 2–7, only the treat asked for

“What comes next on the train?”

10 levelsAges 3–7iOS: in the unlock

What it teaches

Repeating patterns (AB, AAB, ABB, ABC, AABB), shape-and-colour patterns, growing patterns and number sequences.

Winning and stars

Two wins per level; three stars with no mistakes.

Tips for grown-ups

  • Say or clap the pattern together.

NUMBER LAND · 04

Dot to Dot

“Join the dots to make a picture!”

10 levelsAges 3–7iOS: in the unlock

How to play

Numbered dots outline a hidden picture. Your child drags (or taps) through them in order; each dot pops and says its label as a crayon line follows. When the outline closes the picture fills with colour and comes alive.

What it teaches

Number order, counting in twos, alphabet order and counting backwards.

Winning and stars

Two wins per level; a mistake is tapping the wrong dot. Nineteen different pictures: a house, kite, car, fish, rocket, cat, butterfly and more.
